(St. John’s, NL) October 25, 2024 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) has charged a man with sexual assault of a young person in St. John’s.
On Thursday morning (Oct. 24), the RNC Child Abuse and Sexual Assault (CASA) Unit received information related to a sexual assault involving a 14-year-old female that occurred the day prior.
Following an investigation, 30-year-old Gregory Martin was arrested in Mount Pearl. Martin was held in custody to appear in Provincial Court on the following charges:
- Sexual assault
- Sexual interference
- Invitation to sexual touching
- Failure to comply with a court order
The CASA Unit investigates the most sensitive of matters which include assaults against children and sexual assaults. All survivors of sexual violence are encouraged to reach out for help from a trusted resource as soon as it is safe to do so. If you require immediate assistance please call 911.
