Applicants who successfully advance through the previous seven stages of the recruitment process will be accepted to a 32 week training program. Training includes 16 weeks at the Atlantic Police Academy (APA) in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, in addition to on-the-job training at RNC detachments on the Northeast Avalon and Corner Brook regions.
Successful candidates will receive a $15,000 bursary toward a Police Science (Cadet) Certificate at the APA. The $15,000 bursary will be granted to each successful RNC recruit, based on a three-year return to service in Newfoundland and Labrador.
