(Corner Brook, NL) March 3, 2025 — The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) arrested multiple impaired drivers on the west coast of the island over the weekend.
On Sunday (March 2), at 1:45 a.m., Operational Patrol Services (OPS) conducted a traffic stop with a suspicious vehicle on Main Road in York Harbour. Following an investigation, the operator, a 17-year-old male from Corner Brook, was charged with impaired driving offences. The accused was released to appear in Provincial Court at a later date. He was issued a driving suspension and the vehicle was seized.
At 3:30 a.m., OPS located a vehicle that had come to rest in a snow bank in the area of Lewin Parkway. The operator, a 25-year-old male from St. John’s, was later placed under arrest in connection with impaired driving offences. He was charged and released to appear in Provincial Court on a later date. The accused was issued a driving suspension and the vehicle was seized.
Shortly after noon, OPS conducted an investigation into a report of impaired driving in Pasadena. As a result, a 57-year-old male form Pasadena was arrested and charged with impaired driving offences. The accused was released from custody to appear in Provincial Court on a later date. He was also issued a driving suspension and his vehicle was seized.
