(St. John’s, NL) August 12, 2025 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is advising of the closure of a portion of Peacekeepers Way.

Also known as the Conception Bay South Bypass Road, the highway has been closed in both directions between Minerals Road and the Cloverleaf (Pitts Memorial Drive/Outer Ring Road) to assist with wildfire suppression efforts near Paddy’s Pond.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area and delay any non-essential travel. Those who must travel are advised to take Topsail Road.

Please drive with patience and caution and follow the instruction of emergency personnel. For the safety of all, do not stop or exit your vehicle on a roadway.
