(St. John’s, NL) December 24, 2025 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) has a male in custody who was wanted for murder in St. John’s.
On Dec. 21, Operational Patrol Services (OPS) responded to a home on Empire Avenue where officers located a 41-year-old deceased male. Working with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, the death was determined to be a homicide.
Darryl Little, 42, and Peter Campbell, 28, were charged in the days following and an arrest warrant was issued for 47-year-old Douglas Yetman on charges of murder, numerous firearms and weapons offences, and breaches.
Yesterday (Dec. 23) at approximately 7 p.m., information was received that Yetman was in the area of James Place. RNC OPS, the RNC Tactics and Rescue Unit and the RCMP Emergency Response Team responded where Yetman was taken into police custody without incident. Charges are pending and the investigation is ongoing.
The RNC is offering sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
