RNC Arrest Male Wanted for Assault

(Corner Brook, NL) April 1, 2026 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) has arrested a man wanted for assault with a weapon in Corner Brook.

RNC Operational Patrol Services responded to a disturbance at a home in Corner Brook on March 14 where someone had been assaulted with bear spray. Arrest warrants were issued for the two men who had fled the area prior to police arrival.

Today, 40-year-old Todd Barry was located by the RNC Criminal Investigation Division with the assistance of members of the RCMP-RNC Joint Forces Operation West. Barry was taken into custody in Corner Brook without incident on charges of:

  • Assault with a Weapon
  • Administering a Noxious Substance
  • Uttering Threats

He is being held for court.

His co-accused, 21-year-old Joshua Roberts was arrested March 20 with the assistance of the RNC Tactics and Rescue Unit.
