RNC Corner Brook Region Make Arrest after Drug Investigation

(Corner Brook), April 26th, 2019 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Corner Brook Region has arrested a male in connection with a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act investigation.

On Thursday, April 25, officers with RNC Corner Brook Operational Patrol Services, together with officers from the RNC Northeast Avalon Drug Investigative Unit executed a traffic stop in the area of Riverside Drive in Corner Brook.   As a result of the investigation, a 52 year old male was arrested and a quantity of cocaine, prescription pills and cash was seized. The male subject was charged with 3 counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and 3 counts of Trafficking in Controlled Substances under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. The seizure is valued at approximately $3500.00.  The male was released from custody and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
