(St. John’s, NL) August 26, 2025 — The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is seeking the public’s help locating a suspect vehicle believed to be involved in a hit and run vehicle-pedestrian collision in Conception Bay South.
Around 9:45 p.m. Aug. 12, Operational Patrol Services responded to a report of a collision on Peachytown Road. The suspect vehicle had left the scene prior to police arrival. The 49-year-old female pedestrian was sent to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries and has since been released.
RNC collision analysts are now looking to identify the driver they believe is responsible. The vehicle is described as an older model white SUV, possibly a Ford Escape.
Anyone with information or video footage from the area of Peachytown Town Road and Conception Bay Highway between 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. Aug. 12 is asked to contact the RNC at 709-729-8000.
