(Corner Brook, NL), October 26, 2022 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) impounded a vehicle following a traffic stop in a Corner Brook school zone yesterday.
On October 25, 2022, at approximately 2:15 pm, the RNC Operational Patrol Services observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed in a school zone located on Wellington Street in Corner Brook. The patrol officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Wellington Street a short time later.
As a result of the officer’s investigation, it was determined the driver of the vehicle was operating with a suspended driver’s license. The 38-year-old male operator was issued summary offence tickets for speeding in a school zone and operating with a suspended license. The vehicle was impounded from the scene under the Highway Traffic Act.
