RNC in Labrador City Arrest Impaired Driver

(Labrador City, NL) November 13, 2024 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) in Labrador City arrested a male for impaired driving after a tip from the public.

Around 2:30 a.m. today, Operational Patrol Services in Labrador City received a call regarding a male that had left a bar and who was driving a black pickup truck in the area of Humber Avenue. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic safety stop. After failing the roadside screening device, the 24-year-old male driver was arrested for impaired driving and subsequently failed the breathalyzer.

The 24-year-old had his vehicle impounded and was released to appear in court at a later date for charges of driving while impaired and driving over the legal limit.
