(Labrador City, NL) May 9, 2025 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) in Labrador City arrested a male for impaired driving in a school zone.
On Friday (May 9) at 8:20 a.m., RNC Operational Patrol Services (OPS) in Labrador City were conducting school patrols in the area of Bartlett Drive when they observed a vehicle speeding in a school zone. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and the operator was believed to be impaired by alcohol.
The 30-year-old male from Wabush was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and issued a summary offence ticket for speeding in a school zone. His driver’s license was suspended, and his vehicle was impounded. The accused was released to appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
