(ST. JOHN’S, NL), December 14, 2020– The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) General Investigation Unit (GIU) is investigating an armed robbery in St. John’s.
On Friday, December 11, 2020, just after 9:30 am, members of the RNC Operational Patrol Services Division (OPS), Forensic Identification Services (FIS) and Police Dog Service (PDS) responded to a report of an armed robbery at a pharmacy on Topsail Road in St. John’s. A man entered the pharmacy and approached the pharmacist presenting a weapon. After obtaining a quantity of pills, the man fled the area. There were no injuries reported following this incident.
