(Labrador City, NL) July 15, 2025 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is investigating a fire in Labrador City.
Around 10:30 p.m. Sunday (July 13), Operational Patrol Services responded to a report of a residential garage fire on Cedar Avenue. Three occupants of the home on the same property were able to evacuate prior to police arrival.
The Labrador City Fire Rescue were already battling the blaze as responding officers arrived on the scene where they observed flame and thick heavy smoke coming from the garage. Officers evacuated neighbouring properties due to the risk of spread. There was significant damage caused to the garage and exterior damage to a neighbouring home. One person was sent to hospital as a precaution.
