RNC Investigating Hit and Run Collision

(St. John’s, NL) March 25, 2025 — The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is investigating a hit and run motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian in St. John’s.

On Monday (March 24), at approximately 11 p.m., RNC Operational Patrol Services (OPS) and RNC collision analysts responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision on Hamilton Avenue, near the intersection with Shaw Street. Responding officers determined that a male riding a bicycle had been struck by a vehicle, and the vehicle proceeded to flee the scene. The male on the bicycle sustained serious physical injuries and was taken to the hospital to obtain medical support.

The vehicle involved in the collision is described as a white Hyundai sedan, which was believed to be travelling west on Hamilton Avenue near Shaw Street prior to the collision.
