(St. John’s, NL) December 22, 2025 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is investigating a suspicious death in St. John’s.
Yesterday (Dec. 21) at approximately 6 p.m., Operational Patrol Services responded to a home on Empire Avenue. Upon arrival, patrol officers located a deceased male inside the home. The Criminal Investigation Division, Forensic Identification Services and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner were engaged to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death, which appears to be suspicious. They are working to confirm the identity of the deceased.
At this time, there is no information to suggest this was a random attack.
A vehicle of interest has been identified, and has since been located on Anthony Avenue. The vehicle is a four-door silver/grey 2013 Subaru Impreza with tinted windows and license plate JUH 410.
The investigative team is appealing for help from the public to track the movements of the vehicle from 1:30 p.m. yesterday to 3:30 a.m. today.
Anyone with information or video footage (CCTV, dash camera, cell phone) is asked to contact the RNC at 709-729-8000. The investigative team can also be reached directly by email at: report@rnc.gov.nl.ca.
