RNC Investigating Vehicle-Pedestrian Collision

(Labrador City, NL) May 16, 2025 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is investigating following a vehicle-pedestrian collision in Labrador City.

Around 7:55 a.m. yesterday (May 15), Operational Patrol Services responded to the intersection of Avalon Drive at Route 500 in relation to a report of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. The operator of the vehicle involved was identified at the scene by responding officers. The pedestrian, a 42-year-old man, was transported to the hospital to seek treatment for non-life threatening physical injuries.

RNC collision analysts are seeking any witnesses or video footage (CCTV, dash-camera, cell phone) from the area around the time of the crash. Anyone with information that may assist the investigation is asked to contact the RNC at 709-944-7602.
