(St. John’s, NL) February 27, 2026 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) has issued a shelter-in-place for all residents of Ann Harvey Place, Sir Wilfred Grenfell Street, Cape Norman Street, Orlando Place, and Henry Larsen Street in St. John’s.

Residents are asked to remain indoors, with windows and doors closed and locked.

There is an increased police presence in the area. In the interest of public and officer safety, please do not share any information or photos and video of police tactical response on social media during an active situation.
