(Corner Brook, NL) September 11, 2025 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) have issued multiple speeding tickets in construction zones on the west coast.

Following multiple reports this week related to speeding in construction zones in Massey Drive and Corner Brook, Operational Patrol Services have issued multiple tickets to offending drivers. With double the fine amount for a construction zone, the expense to the operator can be up to $1170.00.

The RNC will continue to monitor construction zones throughout our communities. Anyone who observes dangerous driving practices, or with information about unsafe or illegal motor vehicle operation is asked to report it to the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
