(St. John’s, NL) December 17, 2025 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) has laid an additional attempted murder charge following further investigation of an incident on Anspach Street in St. John’s.
On Dec. 8 around 6:45 p.m., Operational Patrol Services responded to a disturbance at an apartment building in the west end where officers located two female victims with stab wounds. While attending to the scene, police received reports of another assault on Blackmarsh Road believed to be connected to the incident.
Mitchell Rose, 32, was located and arrested later that evening on a number of charges including two counts of attempted murder.
The RNC’s Criminal Investigation Division was engaged to continue the investigation into the matter. As a result, Rose appeared in court today on a third count of attempted murder in relation to another individual who was at the apartment building during the altercation.
