(ST. JOHN’S, NL), November 29, 2019 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) General Investigation Unit (GIU) is investigating an armed robbery which occurred at a service station in St. John’s.
On Sunday, October 27, 2019, at approximately 1:30 am, RNC operational patrol services division (OPS) and police dog service (PDS) responded to a report of an armed robbery at a service station on Frecker Drive in St. John’s. The suspect reportedly presented a weapon, then demanded cash. The suspect obtained cash, then exited the building and fled the area prior to police arrival. Responding officers were unable to locate the suspect.
The suspect is a man, described to be about five feet and seven or eight inches tall, believed to be in his twenties. He was dressed in a dark colour ‘DC’ hoodie, grey jogging pants, white shoes, and covered his face with a white bandana.
