RNC Release Photo of Armed Robbery Suspect

(ST. JOHN’S, NL), November 21, 2019 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) General Investigation Unit (GIU) is investigating an armed robbery which occurred at a convenience store in Mount Pearl.

On Sunday, November 3, 2019, at approximately 7:45 am, RNC operational patrol services division (OPS) and forensic identification services (FIS) responded to a report of an armed robbery at a convenience store on Barbour Drive in Mount Pearl. The suspect reportedly presented a weapon, then demanded cigarettes and cash. The suspect obtained cigarettes, scratch lottery tickets and cash in a black bag, then exited the store and fled the area. The suspect is believed to have used a red BMX style bicycle to flee the area after exiting the store.

The suspect is a man, described to be six feet tall, with a slender build. He was dressed in black, and covered his face with a black, white and orange bandana. He wore black gloves, and carried a black bag.
