RNC Release Photos of Suspect in Two Armed Robberies

(St. John’s, NL), December 13, 2018 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) General Investigation Unit (GIU) is seeking the public’s assistance identifying the man allegedly responsible for two separate armed robberies.

On Thursday, November 22, 2018, at around 11:45 pm, the RNC was called to a report of an armed robbery at the Esso service station at 249 Park Avenue in Mount Pearl. A man had entered the business armed with an un-disclosed weapon and demanded cash and tobacco products. The suspect fled the store empty handed prior to police arrival.

A short time later, just after 12:05 am, the same suspect entered the Irving Service Station located at 36 Blackmarsh Road in St. John’s. The suspect was armed with the same undisclosed weapon and fled the area with a quantity of cash and tobacco products prior to police arriving on scene.

Store CCTV showed the same man in both robberies. He is described as being in his 30s or 40s with dirty blonde/grey goatee. In both robberies, the suspect was wearing a grey/green puffy winter coat with a black toque.
