RNC Request Assistance in Robbery Investigation

(St. John’s, NL), July 18, 2018 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) General Investigation Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the man responsible for a robbery at a convenience store in the west end of St. John’s.

On July 8th, 2018, at 4:50 p.m., members of the RNC’s Operational Patrol Services Division and Forensic Identification Services responded to a robbery at Marie’s Mini Mart on Blackmarsh Rd. The man left the scene prior to police arrival with an undisclosed amount of cash. There were no injuries as a result of the robbery.

The suspect is described as being between 5’7 and 6’2 with a thick build. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a black hoodie, black hat and black sunglasses.

The RNC Criminal Investigation Division is continuing to investigate this robbery, and is asking anyone who has information to call the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
