RNC Requesting Assistance Boat Theft Investigation

(St. John’s, NL), September 20, 2018 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) General Investigation Unit (GIU) is investigating multiple boat thefts from a business in Mount Pearl.

On September 14, 2018, the RNC received a theft complaint from Coastal Marine after staff discovered that eight boats had been stolen from their outdoor storage yard between August 4 and August 27, 2018. The stolen boats were:

  • 2 x Jon 12’ Green Army Boats (stolen between August 4 & 9) Serial numbers:
    • LWC06413C717
    • LWC06392C717
  • 3 x Lowe 12’ Aluminum boat (stolen between August 18-27) Serial numbers:
    • 6802C717
    • 6809C717
    • 5417C515
  • 2 x 14’ Aluminum boat (stolen between August 25-27) Serial numbers:
    • 6941V717
    • 6942C717
  • 1 x 16’ Aluminum boat (stolen between August 25-27) Serial number:
    • 6844C717

Individuals with information on the whereabouts of these boats or those responsible for their theft is asked to contact the RNC. We are reminding the public that procession of stolen property is a criminal offence. Anyone with information is asked to call the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You can now provide information anonymously on the NL Crime Stoppers Website at www.nlcrimestoppers.com.
