RNC Seeking Information on East End Vehicle Fire

(St. John’s, NL) December 31, 2025 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is appealing for information following a suspicious vehicle fire in St. John’s.

At approximately 12:45 a.m. on Friday (Dec. 26), Operational Patrol Services responded to a report of a vehicle fire on Portugal Cove Road. The blaze, which destroyed the vehicle, is considered suspicious in nature.

Investigators are seeking any information or video footage (CCTV, dash camera, cell phone) from 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. in the area of Portugal Cove Road from the Holiday Inn to Elizabeth Avenue, and the area of Gooseberry Lane and Gooseberry Place.
