(Corner Brook, NL) February 9, 2026 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) seized more than a dozen vehicles in the Corner Brook Region over a week-long period for violations under the Highway Traffic Act.
On Jan. 30, officers conducted a routine traffic stop on Main Street in Corner Brook that resulted in impaired driving charges. The 39-year-old man was also ticketed for having open liquor in his vehicle. His license was suspended and vehicle seized.
Operational Patrol Services conducted a traffic stop on Poplar Road in Corner Brook last Tuesday (Feb. 3). The 35-year-old male driver was subsequently charged with impaired driving and operating over the legal limit. His vehicle was impounded and license suspended. He was released to appear in court at a later date.
From Pasadena to Summerside, between Jan. 31 and Feb.7, eight vehicles were seized for operating without insurance, and three vehicles were seized from drivers operating without a license.
