(Corner Brook, NL) September 8, 2025 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) arrested multiple impaired drivers over the weekend.
Early Saturday morning (Sept. 6), just before 4 a.m., Operational Patrol Services observed a vehicle on Mount Bernard Avenue in Corner Brook driving in the opposing lane of traffic. A traffic stop was conducted, and the female operator was arrested and charged with impaired driving. She also had her vehicle seized, and license suspended.
Just before 6 a.m. on Saturday, RNC patrol officers responded to a report of possible impaired driving in the area of Logger School Road in Corner Brook. Responding officers located the suspect vehicle with the male operator asleep inside. As a result of an investigation, the male was charged with impaired driving-related offences. He was issued a driving suspension, and his vehicle was seized.
On Saturday, at approximately 11:30 p.m., patrol officers responded to a report of an impaired driver in Churchill Falls. The operator was located a short time later and taken into custody. The male operator was charged with impaired driving and issued a ticket for having open liquor in a vehicle. His vehicle was seized and he was issued a driving suspension.
All accused were released from custody to appear in Provincial Court at later dates.
