(St. John’s, NL) July 3, 2026 — The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) has charged a man in connection with sexual exposures in Mount Pearl.
On June 10, Operational Patrol Services responded to a Mount Pearl walking trail where a female caller reported that an unknown male had exposed himself to her. The female advised the same male had exposed himself to her on the trail in May. Responding officers searched the area but were unable to locate the unidentified male. The Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit was engaged to investigate the matter.
Today (July 3), the RNC received two calls similar in nature; a man was exposing himself while inside Mount Pearl businesses. Officers were able to identify the male suspect and arrested him at his residence this afternoon. The 45-year-old man is charged with three counts of exposure and one count of an indecent act.
The accused was held to appear in Provincial Court tomorrow.
The RNC continues to encourage anyone who witnesses suspicious activity to report it directly to police by calling 709-729-8000. Crimes in progress should be reported by contacting 911.
