RNC in Corner Brook Issue Driving Suspensions, Tickets

(Corner Brook, NL) July 9, 2026 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) has issued roadside suspensions and tickets in Corner Brook.

Yesterday (July 8), Operational Patrol Services conducted a number of vehicle stops that resulted in licence suspensions, vehicle seizures and tickets within a 3-hour period.

Around 8:30 p.m., officers stopped a 15-year-old operating a dirtbike on Broadway Crescent. The youth and parents were issued tickets for offences under the Off-Road Vehicles (ORV) Act including, no insurance and a person under 16 unlawfully operating an ORV.

At approximately 10:15 p.m., officers stopped a 24-year-old man at a checkpoint in Pasadena who failed a roadside screening test. He was issued a driving suspension and his vehicle was seized.

Roughly 10 minutes later around 10:25 p.m., a second checkpoint stop resulted in a 40-year-old male failing a roadside screening test. He too had his license suspended and vehicle seized.
