(Corner Brook, NL) August 7, 2026 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) arrested a male following an assault in Corner Brook.

Yesterday (Aug. 6) around 3:30 p.m., Operational Patrol Services in the Corner Brook region responded to a disturbance at a residence on Crestview Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located a female outside with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers located 38-year-old Neal Peddle inside the residence, where he was arrested and charged with the following:

• Assault
• Assault with a Weapon
• Forcible Confinement
• Being Unlawfully in a Dwelling
• Breach of Probation Order

He was held to appear in court.
