(St. John’s, NL) September 17, 2026 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) has charged a St. John’s man with trafficking.
On July 8, as part of an investigation by the Weapons and Drug Enforcement Unit (WDEU), officers arrested 59-year-old James Kelloway at his home in the centre of St. John’s on drug-related offences.
A subsequent search of two properties resulted in the seizure of:
- Over six ounces of cocaine
- 1 kg of hashish
- Prescription Pills
- Contraband cigarettes
- Canadian currency
- and other drug paraphernalia
Kelloway was initially released with charges pending following the results of drug testing. On Tuesday (Sept. 8), he was charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking. He will appear in court at a later date.
