(St. John’s, NL) September 28, 2026 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is requesting the public’s help in a break-and-enter investigation in Paradise where a firearm was stolen.

Sometime between 10 p.m. Friday (Sept. 25) and 11:45 p.m. Sunday (Sept. 27), someone gained access to a home in the Paradise Road area and left with among other items, an antique firearm, and an unknown amount of ammunition for a rifle. The shotgun is believed to be inoperable.

The investigation is ongoing and the RNC is looking to identify and speak to the driver of a red Hyundai Accent that was observed in the area. Anyone with information, or video footage (CCTV or dash-cam) from the area encompassing Paradise Road, Mallow Drive, Harcourt Road, and Topsail Road, is asked to contact the RNC at 709-729-8000.
