(St. John’s, NL), September 1, 2023 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) made an arrest in connection with a disturbance at a residence in St. John’s yesterday.
RNC Operational Patrol Services (OPS) responded to a report of a disturbance at a home in the Southlands area of St. John’s on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at approximately 5:15 pm. Responding officers determined that an assault had occurred inside the home, observing minor physical injury to a female at scene.
As a result of an investigation into the event, a 32-year-old male of St. John’s was charged with assault. The accused was held in custody to appear in Provincial Court in connection with the offence.
