(Labrador City, NL) November 7, 2024 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) in Labrador City arrested a female for impaired driving after multiple tips from the public.

On Thursday, just before 1:30 a.m., Operational Patrol Services received multiple calls regarding a black Dodge Ram driving erratically in the area of Humber Avenue.

Officers located the vehicle running behind the shopping center and performed a traffic stop. After failing the roadside screening device, the 29-year-old female driver was arrested for impaired driving and subsequently failed the breathalyzer.  She had her vehicle impounded and was held for court on charges of driving while impaired and driving over the legal limit.

The RNC is asking anyone with information or CCTV footage to assist the investigation to call 709-944-7602.
