RNC Seeking Assistance Following Pedestrian Collisions

(St. John’s, NL) December 23, 2024 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is seeking information following two separate vehicle-pedestrian collisions in St. John’s.

On Friday (Dec. 20) just before 5:30 p.m., Operational Patrol Services responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on Water Street west. The pedestrian, a male in his 70’s was transported to hospital for treatment of injuries.

A short time later, around 5:45 p.m., another pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the area of Ropewalk Lane. The male pedestrian was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

RNC collision analysts are seeking any witnesses or video footage (CCTV, dash-camera, cell phone) from the area of both collisions between 5:15 p.m. and 6 p.m. Friday.
