(Corner Brook, NL) January 20, 2025 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) arrested an impaired driver in McIvers following a call from a member of the public.

Just before 9 p.m. on Sunday (Jan. 19), Operational Patrol Services responded to a report that a vehicle had driven off the road. Responding officers located the vehicle in a ditch over an embankment. The operator was at scene and was not injured.

Following an investigation, the 73-year-old female driver was charged with impaired driving offences. She was issued a driving suspension and the vehicle was seized from the scene. The accused has been released to appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
