Labrador West Man Charged With Impaired Related Offences

(Labrador City, NL) April 13, 2025 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) in Labrador City arrested a man on impaired related charges after a tip from the public.

On Saturday (April 12) just before 7 p.m., the RNC received a call regarding a man that smelled of alcohol who had left a convenience store in the area of Grenfell Avenue in Wabush. Officers located the vehicle nearby and conducted a traffic safety stop. After refusing to take the roadside screening device, the 35-year-old male driver was arrested for refusal to comply with demand and resisting arrest.

The 35-year-old male had his vehicle impounded and driver’s license suspended and was released to appear in court at a later date.
