Man Arrested Following Disturbance in Corner Brook

(St. Johns, NL) June 12, 2025 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) made an arrest in connection with a disturbance in Corner Brook.

Shortly after noon on Wednesday (June 11), Operational Patrol Services responded to a disturbance on O’Connell Drive, near Margaret Bowater Park. Responding officers determined that a man had presented a weapon after approaching a woman operating a vehicle in the area. Patrol officers also determined that the same man caused damage to the same vehicle earlier in the day.

A 27-year-old male from Corner Brook was placed under arrest a short time later, and charged with assault with a weapon and mischief by causing property damage. The accused was held in custody to appear in Provincial Court.
