RNC Arrest Male for Graffiti in St. John’s

(St. John’s, NL) July 17, 2025 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) has arrested a man for graffiti in downtown St. John’s.

While on routine patrol just after 2 a.m. today, Operational Patrol Services officers observed what they believed to be a man spray painting in a laneway in the area of Cathedral Street. When officers approached, he took off on foot. After a brief foot chase, the 24-year-old was arrested and charged with mischief and resisting arrest.

The RNC has increased efforts to identify and locate those responsible for graffiti across the Northeast Avalon. Please report crimes in progress by calling 911.
