(Corner Brook, NL) September 15, 2025 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) has seized two vehicles following traffic stops on the west coast.
On Friday evening (Sept. 12), Operational Patrol Services conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle on Lewin Parkway. The operator, a 39-year-old male, was determined to be suspended from driving, and was operating a vehicle without an insurance policy. The operator was issued tickets for the offences, and his vehicle was seized.
On Saturday (Sept. 13) at approximately 1 p.m., Operational Patrol Services observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on the Trans-Canada Highway near Little Rapids. A traffic stop was conducted, and the operator was determined to be suspended from driving. The 31-year-old male was issued tickets for driving while suspended, defective equipment, and speeding. His vehicle was also seized.
