RNC Arrest Two Following Corner Brook Disturbance

(Corner Brook, NL) November 7, 2025 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) have made two arrests after responding to a residence in Corner Brook.

On Wednesday (Nov. 5) at approximately 3:50 a.m., Operational Patrol Services responded to an assault in progress at a home in Corner Brook. Upon their arrival, officers arrested two people who had broken into the home and assaulted a resident using a weapon. They both also caused damage to the property. The resident was transported to Western Memorial Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Criminal Investigation Division was engaged and as a result, 36-year-old Shawn Curlew and 18-year-old Madison Mishaud were each charged with the follow offences:

  • Break and Enter
  • Assault with a Weapon
  • Aggravated Assault
  • Mischief
  • Breaches
