RNC Seize Multiple Vehicles in the Corner Brook Region for Traffic Infractions

(Corner Brook, NL) January 30, 2026 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) have charged two drivers and seized four vehicles in the Corner Brook Region over the past 24 hours.

On Thursday (Jan. 29) RNC Traffic Services West and Operational Patrol Services, issued tickets and laid charges for a number of driving offences.

Around 2:20 a.m., officers conducted a traffic safety stop on Griffin Drive that resulted in a 24-year-old being charged with impaired driving. He had his driver’s license suspended and the vehicle seized. The driver was released to appear in court at a later date.

Just before noon, a traffic stop near Western Memorial Hospital resulted in the ticketing and vehicle seizure of a 47-year-old suspended driver from Corner Brook. Shortly thereafter, officers seized a third vehicle on Tenth Avenue in Pasadena for which the 43-year-old from Deer Lake was issued tickets for suspended driving related offences.

A fourth vehicle was seized on Humber Road just before 1 p.m., after the driver fled from a traffic stop after having already been identified by officers. The vehicle was located unoccupied a short while later on Main Street. A warrant has been requested for charges of dangerous operation, breaches and obstruction, in addition to tickets for suspended driving and crossing a solid line.
