(Corner Brook, NL) February 25, 2026 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) has issued a directive for all residents of McIvers to shelter-in-place.

Officers are responding to a weapons offense. There are no reports of any injuries at this time.

All residents of McIvers are being asked to lock doors, and stay away from windows. There is no through traffic at this time.

This is an active and ongoing response. Further information will be provided as it becomes available.
