(Corner Brook, NL) March 6, 2026 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is investigating following a collision in Corner Brook.

Around 6:30 p.m. yesterday (Mar. 5), Operational Patrol Services responded to West Street in Corner Brook, where a vehicle had struck the Hew and Draw Hotel. There was extensive damage to the property. Accident Investigation was engaged to assist the ongoing investigation.

The 41-year-old male driver is believed to have experienced a medical issue and was transported to hospital for further care. Two other people in the area at the time of the collision sustained minor injuries.

RNC Collision Reconstructionists are seeking any witnesses or video footage (CCTV, dash-camera, cell phone) from the area around the time of the collision. Anyone with information that may assist the investigation is asked to contact the RNC at 709-637-4100.
