RNC Arrest Youth For Assault

(St. John’s, NL) March 31, 2026 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) has made an arrest following an assault in Mount Pearl.

Yesterday (March 30) around 2:15 a.m., Operational Patrol Services responded to a disturbance at a home in Mount Pearl. Upon arrival, officers located a male with non-life-threatening stab wounds. The injured male was taken to hospital for further treatment.

The suspect, a 13-year-old male, had fled the residence prior to police arrival. Police Dog Services were engaged and the youth was located and arrested on a nearby walking trail at 3 a.m.

As a result of the investigation, the youth has been charged with assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm. He was held to appear in court.
