RNC Appealing for Information as Investigation of Mount Pearl Robbery Continues

(St. John’s, NL) July 2, 2026 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is looking for information from the public as it investigates a robbery that occurred on a walking trail in Mount Pearl.

Just after 9:30 a.m. Friday (June 26), the RNC responded to a robbery in the Carroll Drive area of Mount Pearl. A female reported that she was approached by a male on the Admiralty Walking Trail where he presented a weapon and attempted to take her belongings before fleeing the area in the direction of Richard Nolan Drive. It is believed the pair were unknown to one another.

The male suspect who has not yet been identified is described as a thin, tall, Caucasian, who was wearing a black hoodie and black pants.

The Major Crime Unit continues to investigate and will be canvassing Mount Pearl today in the area bordered by Smallwood Drive, Commonwealth Avenue, and Old Placentia Road seeking video footage and information. (See attached map.)

The RNC is encouraging anyone who has video footage (CCTV, dash camera, cell phone) between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. on June 26 to review the footage for a male matching the above description and to contact police by calling 709-729-8000.
