(St. John’s, NL) July 6, 2026 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is investigating a bicycle-vehicle collision that occurred in St. John’s over the weekend.
At approximately 3 p.m. yesterday (July 5), Operational Patrol Services responded to a collision involving a bicycle and a vehicle at the intersection of Blackmarsh Road and Mercer’s Lane. The 72-year-old male cyclist sustained non-life-threatening injuries while the occupant of the SUV was uninjured.
Investigators are seeking any witnesses or video footage (CCTV, dash-camera, cell phone) from the area in the lead up to or immediately following the collision. Anyone with information is asked to contact the RNC at 709-729-8000.
