(St. John’s, NL) July 10, 2026 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) continues to search for a man missing from Logy Bay-Middle Cove-Outer Cove.

O’Rourke was last seen in the area of O’Rourke’s Lane in Logy Bay around 2:30 a.m. today wearing navy sweatpants, a khaki and black jacket, using a walking cane. The 85-year-old is described as being 5’8″ tall, 150 lbs, with short white hair and blue eyes. He lives with Alzheimers.

An extensive search by foot, air, and sea, has been ongoing in Logy Bay with support from RNC Operational Patrol Services, Drone Operators, and Police Dog Services. A team of Rovers Ground Search and Rescue members are on scene in addition to a helicopter and the Canadian Coast Guard tasked by the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre.

The RNC is asking residents in the area encompassed by Lower Road, Outer Cove Road and Marine Drive, to check their properties, including sheds and structures, as well as review any video footage from security cameras for possible sightings of O’Rourke.
