(St. John’s, NL) August 26, 2026 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) has made an arrest following an armed robbery in St. John’s.
This morning (Aug. 26) around 10 a.m., Operational Patrol Services responded to an armed robbery at a service station on Tailwind Drive in the east end of the city where a suspect presented a weapon, demanded lottery tickets and cigarettes from an employee and fled on foot. There were no injuries.
Within minutes, responding officers arrested 39-year-old Ryan Goulding in the area. He was held to appear in court on charges of armed robbery, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, mischief, and three counts of uttering threats.
