Man Wanted for Home Invasion

(St. John’s, NL), April 23, 2024 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is searching for a man wanted in connection with a home invasion in St. John’s.

Fifty-year-old Daniel JOHNSON of Mount Pearl is wanted on charges of break and enter, assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, using a firearm in the commission of an offence, pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and breach of a probation order. The RNC are actively seeking JOHNSON’s arrest. JOHNSON should not be approached – if seen, residents are urged to contact the RNC immediately.

These charges stem from a home invasion on Wednesday (April 17), when a report led patrol officers to respond to a residence on Kennedy Road in St. John’s. Responding officers determined that two suspects had forced entry to the home presenting weapons. The suspects left the area in a dark SUV. Two residents of the home, a man and woman, were assaulted and subsequently taken to hospital for medical support.

The RNC is asking anyone with information related to the whereabouts of JOHNSON to contact the RNC at 709-729-8000. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or visit www.nlcrimestoppers.com .
